Choreographer duo Filiz Sızanlı and Mustafa Kaplan invite the audience on a sensory and intellectual journey through their 28 years of production: excerpts from works such as Seksek, Transforma(c)tion, Victory Over The Sun (Güneşin Zaptı), Concave (İçbükey), and Dolap selected from the archive that reflects Taldans’s rhythm-focused sensibilities and their states of duality, will take place in different art spaces, adapting to different structures. Along the route followed by the audience, each point within the building will transform into a theatre of memory. Each stop along this route has been designed to correspond to a particular moment, a form, or a unique mode of sharing from the duo’s common history. Various forms, from a physically reproduced section of a play to a production presented solely with sound, transform into a “choreographic story”, offering the audience a multilayered perspective.
This performance is shaped entirely by a selection of Taldans’ works related to rhythm. Seksek, which relates to the concepts of space and measurement; Transfoma(c)tion, which moves between collision and embrace; Victory Over The Sun (Güneşin Zaptı), which transforms sound and words into a choreographic design using mathematical series; Concave (İçbükey), which physically conveys the concept of reflection through walls and bodies; and Dolap, which explores the relationship between gravity, body, and architecture .
Will these rhythmic games, which the audience will experience by wandering through the space, manage to make the space itself vibrate? This will be a process that Taldans and the audience will discover together.
